HONORING OUR HEROES
Veterans' Day 2025 Field of Honor ®
In 2025, Stoneham will host its sixth annual Field of Honor® to honor service members, veterans, and first responders. From November 7 to 16, hundreds of flags will be displayed at Stoneham Central Middle School, and is lit each night, with Taps played daily at 5 p.m.
A very special addition this year is the Vietnam Moving Wall, which will be available for viewing from November 13-16th at the field. "The Moving Wallâ„¢" is the half-size replica of the Washington, DC Vietnam Veterans Memorial and has been touring the country for forty plus years.
Opening Ceremony for the Field of Honor on Sat, Nov 8, 2025 at 2pm.
Opening Ceremony for the Vietnam Moving Wall on Fri, Nov 14, 2025 at 10am.
Closing Ceremonies for both Field of Honor and Vietnam Moving Wall are on Sun, Nov 16, 2025 at 3pm.
The public is invited to visit this free display and reflect on the honorees’ stories. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for those wishing to dedicate flags to their heroes. Both installations are open and lit 24/7.
Stoneham Veterans Week 2025 Events
2025 Veterans week events include not only the ceremonies at the Field of Honor and the Moving Wall, but the annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Town Hall on Nov. 11 at 10:30 am, the annual road race Nov 11 at 11:30 am, a Flag retirement ceremony and more.. See the full listing on the events page.
The Moving Wall™ is a half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Since its first display in 1984, it has traveled the country, allowing millions of Americans to experience the memorial’s profound message of sacrifice and remembrance.
